State-Level Competition for Classes I–X

Eduranet Spell Bee 2025–26 is a prestigious state-level competition for students from Class I to Class X.

The main objective of this competition is to assess how accurately students can identify and write the correct spellings of words used in regular communication. Students are evaluated on their ability to break words and spell them correctly based on meaning, origin, and pronunciation.

Competition Structure

The competition is conducted in two levels:

Level 1: Prelims (School Level)

The Prelims will be conducted within the respective school premises. It is a visual test, where questions are displayed on a screen.

Prelims Format: Two Rounds

šŸ”¹ Round 1: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)

  • 10 questions will be displayed on the screen.
  • Each question carries 4 marks.
  • Correct answer: +4 marks
  • Wrong answer: –2 marks (Negative Marking)
  • Each question will be given 30 seconds to answer.

Process:

  • Each student will be given an individual score sheet to fill in their Student ID and details.
  • The score sheet will include space for both rounds.
  • The pronouncer will display each question on the screen.
  • The scorer will collect the selected options and maintain the official score sheet.
  • After each question, the correct answer will be displayed.
  • After 10 questions, scores will be announced.
  • The cut-off marks for Round 2 will be decided on the spot.
  • Students scoring above the cut-off will qualify for Round 2.

  • 10 True/False questions will be displayed.
  • The scorer will record responses.
  • Correct answers will be shown after each question.
  • Students scoring above the cut-off will qualify for the Finals.

Level 2: Finals (Common Venue)

The Finals will be conducted at a common venue.

šŸ”¹ Finals Structure: Two Rounds

Round 1: Oral Spelling Round

  • Students will come onto the stage.
  • The pronouncer will pronounce the word.
  • Students must spell the word correctly based on pronunciation.
  • Each participant will be given 2 words.
  • Each word carries 5 marks.

Students who correctly spell both words will qualify for the next round.

šŸ”¹ Round 2: Crossword Puzzle Round

  • Qualified students will participate in a crossword puzzle challenge.
  • Based on performance, winners of Eduranet Spell Bee 2025–26 will be declared.

Every registered student will receive preparation material to help them prepare effectively for the competition.

Entry Fee

₹250/- per student

Special Note

The Prelims competition will be conducted at the respective school premises.

Students whose schools are unable to conduct the competition may participate at the Eduranet Study Centre:
