About Skill Olympiad

The Eduranet Skill Olympiad is an inter-school tournament designed to discover and nurture talented students who excel in Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing skills. This Olympiad offers young learners an excellent platform to showcase their inherent talents, build self-confidence, and differentiate their abilities among peers from different schools.

Eduranet Skill Olympiad Comprise the following Competitions:

  • 1. Story Telling (For Classes I to III)
  • 2. Poem Recitation (For Classes I to V)
  • 3. Elocution (For Classes IV to VII)
  • 4. Public Speaking (For Classes VIII to X)
  • 5. Role Play (For Classes IV to VII)
  • 6. Debate (For Classes VIII to X)

The eligibility to participate in this Skill Olympiad 2025-26 the students must be of Class I to X and studying in any school affiliated to C.B.S.E., I.C.S.E. and S.S.C. boards.

1. Story Telling (Classes I-III):

Storytelling is one of the oldest and most powerful forms of expression. In this competition, young learners narrate short moral or imaginative stories that help them develop creativity, verbal fluency, and confidence. It encourages them to use voice modulation, expression, and imagination while presenting their stories in their own unique way.

Objective: To build imagination, clarity in speech, and emotional expression in early learners.

2. Poem Recitation (Classes I-V):

Poem recitation helps children appreciate the rhythm, beauty, and music of words. Participants recite poems with correct pronunciation, intonation, and expression, learning to enjoy language and communicate emotions effectively. It enhances memory power, pronunciation, and presentation skills, while nurturing a lifelong love for poetry.

Objective: To develop speaking rhythm, confidence, and artistic expression through verse.

3. Elocution (Classes IV to VII):

Elocution aims to refine students’ ability to speak fluently, confidently, and persuasively on a given topic. Participants deliver a short speech showcasing their clarity of thought, pronunciation, and confidence. It helps students develop a strong command over language and articulate ideas effectively in front of an audience.

Objective:To enhance communication, public speaking, and leadership skills.

4. Public Speaking (Classes VIII to X):

Public Speaking helps students develop the courage and skill to express their opinions on social, cultural, and educational topics. It teaches them how to organize thoughts logically, use persuasive language, and connect with an audience. This event strengthens students’ confidence, critical thinking, and presentation skills — key qualities for future leaders.

Objective:To cultivate leadership, logical thinking, and confident communication.

5. Role Play (Classes IV to VII):

Role Play is a fun and educational competition where students enact real-life or imaginary characters. It helps them understand empathy, teamwork, and creativity, while also improving dialogue delivery and body language. Through role play, students learn to view situations from different perspectives and express themselves dramatically.

Objective:To promote teamwork, empathy, and expressive communication.

6. Debate (Classes VIII to X):

Debate encourages students to think critically, research thoroughly, and present their viewpoints logically on contemporary or educational issues. It develops argumentative clarity, listening skills, and confidence. Students learn to respect differing opinions and support their stance with facts and reasoning, preparing them for academic and real-world discussions.

Objective:To promote teamwork, empathy, and expressive communication.
